When you sign up for this workshop, you get an opportunity to share your writing on a theme with other engaged writers and receive important feedback to propel your writing to the next level. Participants will be asked to share their writing on a theme of not more than two pages of text to allow for whole group sharing and feedback in the session.
Engage your creativity and respond in any form or genre in your own unique style.

Theme: Resistance
Audre Lorde in 1977 stated, “Poetry is not luxury. It is a vital necessity of our existence. It forms
the quality of light within which we predicate our hopes and dreams towards survival and
change, first made into language, then into idea, then into tangible action.” Using the theme of
resistance,
● write about the role of resistance in your life.
● write from the perspective of the body.
● write a story about a resistance movement.
● You have long resisted relationships, but that changes one day when you are given
devastating news.
